The sun

I'm sitting outside, drinking my coffee. Morran looks for the cat that just past, a little bird are eating on the crumbs from my cookie, a lizzard sits in the sun on the house, I'm trying to get rid of a ant on my foot, a wasp is bugging me too, and there are a lot of other insects and birds around - much more than I can see. It's kind of comforting, the humans try to take over but the nature and the animals don't give up they live here still.

Gothenburg

It's a Dance and Theater festival here in Gothenburg. Shows from all over the world. I've seen Marie Brassard (from Canada) twice before, and since I love her work I went to se her again, and I wasn't disapointed. I love her stories, her voices, her phrasing and the way she moves.

A glas of wine and a BIG shrimp sandwich at Röda Sten, down in Gothenburg harbour.

Vacation is over

We came home to a totally new and white home, with no furnitures and a room full of boxes.

Two packages where waiting for me to come home! One from Sarah, I've bought some of her super cute stamps before I went on vacation. A gift in the red box, she is so sweet.

The other package was from Vegasandvenice. It's a little painting on Morran and me :) you can see it better here, and a toy for Morran - most appreciated!

The last part

On the way home from Spain we just had to take a trip back to the mountains. This is Chamonix, France. You can almost see Mont Blanc :) wich is the highest peek of the Alps. I've done a vacation slideshow on Flickr - here.

Through Mecozy's blog I found out that Sandra aka Cloudberryterrier has started a blog! So Sandra, we can drink coffee together but you will not tell me you have a blog ;)

This is the tent. From Fjällräven. We've had it for about seven years now. It's really, really good. It has helped us through storms and rain. It's great for trekking but we would like a bigger one for next year. A tent you can sit on a chair in (when it's raining outside).

From Italy to Spain

This summer has been hot! Today was the first day I could walk with some kind of pace without sweating. I didn't realized it first, something felt good - walking, moving. I enjoyed it very much. Heat is nice, everybody has to slow down, your body awakens and the nights are like velvet to your skin. But I'm not used to it, I miss beeing able to walk without sweating, sitting in the sun, going out in daytime. I like when the forrest is soft and green, not dry and itching.

I have a question - When/how do I use the word "forrest" and how do I use "woods"?

Another thing I like about travelling - I don't understand what people around me are talking about. They all sound very clever, having deep conversations :) It's like a cleansing bath for my brain, just to observe.

Morran on vacation

It's really nice to camping and sleep in a tent.
(There is only one thing - when we are tenting I always wake up in the middle of the night, needing to go to the toilet! Always! No matter how much I've been drinking, or not, that day. It's a little bit acrobatic to get out of the tent in the dark with sleepy eyes. But I try to convince myself that it's nice to get out and look at all the stars....).

Things to see

One of the things I like about going to foreign countries is that you pay attention to new things. You see obvious differences but also more ordinary things like signs, colours, material, textures. And still I'm only travelling close to home, in Europe.

The Mexican is travelling further away ( but I guess I couldn't bring Morran...)

The end and the start

Morran is not so very happy, this is her last secure place.

The last night in our apartment (the old one). Everything is already in the new apartment (in one room). There are still painting to do. And we have to clean the old one before leaving, so we start our camping tour here :)
